Video shows man attempt to follow woman into Concourse Village apartment

The incident happened on Sept. 23 after the man followed the 50-year-old woman into her apartment building.

Police have released frightening surveillance video showing the moment a man attempted to follow a woman into her Concourse Village apartment in the middle of the night.
The incident happened on Sept. 23 around 2 a.m., in the vicinity of E. 168th Street and Sherman Avenue, police say, after the unidentified man followed the 50-year-old woman into her building.
As the victim was opening her apartment door, the man can be seen in the video quickly running around the corner and trying to force his way into her apartment just as she closes the door, causing the suspect to run off.
The victim was unharmed in the incident.
