A vigil dedicated to those affected by domestic abuse is
happening outside the 90th Precinct in Williamsburg.
North Brooklyn Coalition says the vigil is honoring
survivors of abuse who chose to speak out and to those who are living through
those situations in silence.
According to
city data, the NYPD responded to more than
231,000 domestic incident reports in 2021. More than 56,000 of those calls came
from Brookyn.
News 12’s Mary-Lyn Buckley was there for the vigil and
rally that followed.
