Vision Zero improvements were completed Wednesday to make a Mount Eden road safer.
Construction first started on West Mount Eden Avenue in May.
The Department of Transportation has installed a new sidewalk and two enhanced crosswalks along the road to better improve safety for pedestrians.
The DOT says the previously narrow road has been converted to a two-lane road between Jerome Avenue and Macombs Road.
Department officials estimate that over 1,000 people walk along the road every single day.
