A balloon arch, too many bottle caps to count and piles of confetti are just some of the messes being cleaned up at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.
Volunteers with the Van Cortlandt Park Alliance told News 12 that this is a light day in terms of clean up.
The volunteers meet nearly every Monday at the park. With the Labor Day holiday, they moved it to Tuesday.
"We try to do this once a week,” said Leslie Garcia. “Because of the budget cuts we have been limited with our resources and employment and staff. So, we are really asking for the community here in Van Cortlandt Park and Van Cortlandt Park Alliance to give a hand."
