‘Walk a Mile in Her Shoes’ event marks 10 years in Fairfield
The Center for Family Justice and its White Ribbon Committee on Saturday hosted the 10th annual “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” after a two year hiatus.
Participants could walk in a team or as an individual to support CFJ and its efforts to end sexual violence and abuse in the six local communities it serves.
The group walked a mile down Post Road, some while wearing high heel shoes.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Elizabeth M. Pfreim Camp HOPE America-Bridgeport, a year-long engagement program for youth ages 7-17 who have experienced the trauma of abuse.
The CFJ says they are on target to hit their $40,000 goal.
News 12’s Shosh Bedrosian was at the event and has more information on the annual walk.
