New Yorkers have voted Riverdale's Wave Hill as Time Out New York's top cultural attraction in the city.
"It's quaint, a little bit mysterious," says first-time visitor Mariami Bibilouri. "There's a charm to it."
Frequenters tell News 12 that they visit the attraction to enjoy the peaceful garden and the sweeping views of the Palisades.
The estate also holds children's arts program, concerts, and seasonal events year-round.
"The fact that you can step through our gates and leave all of the hustle-and-bustle of the city behind, all of your worries just fall away," says Wave Hill's executive director Karen Meyer Hoff.
Wave Hill is offering free admission for kids through Friday, Dec. 30 .
