Neighbors in the Riverdale Section of the Bronx are concerned about an increase in drag racing in the area.

Residents say the road feels like a racetrack as cars zoom through the streets at high speeds late at night.

"We hear it and see it at all hours, sometimes it's 8, or we've heard it after midnight," says State Assembly member Jeffrey Dinowitz.

The drag racing appears to have started once speed bumps and other markings were originally removed on a busy intersection for road repairs. They have yet to be put back even though the work is complete.

News 12 reached out to the Department of Transportation and NYPC, and is waiting to hear back.
