March gives, and it takes. Yesterday was in the 50s and even 60s in a few neighborhoods early in the afternoon, and since then temperatures have dropped more than 30!
Today is breezy and sunny with temperatures in the 20s for most of the day. Winds will come in from the west and northwest at 15 to 25 mph, with a few gusts up to 30 mph, mainly this morning. High temperatures will be in the low 30s, but it will only feel like near 20.
Tonight is clear and less windy. Temperatures will be a few degrees colder on Monday morning, with colder neighborhoods starting off Monday in the teens. Monday will be sunny with highs in the upper 30s. It feels a lot more tolerable without the wind.
Tuesday is breezy but pleasant with highs in the mid 40s, perhaps even 50 in warmer spots. This warmup comes ahead of our next storm which is looking very "spring-like".
Mid-week storm
A storm will push through the area on Wednesday bringing a chance for heavy rain and gusty wind. The timing for the worst weather appears to be the afternoon, but rain is expected in the morning as well. NOAA"s Weather Prediction Center has outlined our area under a marginal risk for flash flooding on Wednesday. There is an isolated threat for thunderstorms, but the bigger threat is gusty wind and heavy rain.
Thursday morning will feature some lingering rain showers, and then the rest of the work week looks dry and seasonable with highs in the mid to upper 40s.
