Thousands of runners will lace up their sneakers and hit the streets for the Bronx 10-Mile on Sunday. But if you’re not racing, the event could impact your Sunday schedule.
More than 12,000 runners will start at East 165th Street and make their way up the Grand Concourse, then loop around Mosholu Parkway and head back down the Grand Concourse toward Yankee Stadium.
Races start at 8 a.m., but there is no parking in different areas along the course from midnight until 1 p.m.
There are road closures at 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. depending on which part of the course.
If you’re looking to take the BX1 bus, there will be detours along the route.
The Bronx 10-mile ends with a post-race festival beneath the 161st Street-Yankee Stadium train station. There will be free music, activities, and food.
The New York Road Runners is the nonprofit “running” this event, which organizers say is the marquee race in the borough.
The organization started at Macombs Dam Park in The Bronx in 1958.
