Wild Bird Fund: Hawk found by police has severe wing fracture

The hawk was found on East 136th Street and Third Avenue, huddled under a parked car.

The hawk that was rescued by 40th Precinct officers on Wednesday has a severe fracture in his right wing, according to the Wild Bird Fund rescue service.
The hawk was found on East 136th Street and Third Avenue, huddled under a parked car.
The Wild Bird Fund tweeted an image of the bird, saying it's awaiting X-rays and a veterinarian exam.
In the meantime, the hawk was given a sling and pain medication.
