A Williamsbridge family is pleading to help them find their son, who went missing early this month after they dropped him off at John F. Kennedy International Airport.

Police say 24-year-old Dane Williams was last seen at JFK's Terminal 5.

When Orville Williams dropped his son off at the airport to visit his mother in Jamaica, he thought it wouldn't be long before they were back together again.

"I wait on his mother to call and tell me she get him and she say the plane came and he didn't come off of the plane," Orville Williams said.

Dane Williams never got off the plane because he never got on. According to police, he was last seen on Sep. 1 at Terminal 5 around 2 a.m. in the morning wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers.

Port Authority police gave the Williams family a surveillance photo that fits that description. The family said it shows him leaving the airport.

"He did exit the airport, so he's not on the premises of the airport, so we're believing that he might be around the facility of the airport and also the shelter system," said stepmother Maxine Williams.

According to his parents, Dane Williams is schizophrenic. They said he is not violent, nor does he pose a threat to himself or anyone else. Without his monthly medication, however, they're even more concerned for his safety.

"I wonder if he's OK or if anybody saw him and tried to hurt him or whatever. That's the most important thing. I think about that a lot," Orville Williams said.

Right now, the family is offering a $1,500 reward for information on their son.

Police ask anyone who may have any information on the whereabouts of Dane Williams to notify them.
