Wind and rain battered the borough Tuesday, pouring down on residents and even uprooting some trees and power lines.
In Westchester Square, one fallen tree blocked a road, rerouting traffic as drivers detoured around it.
Another fallen tree crushed a Mercedes sedan near Pelham Parkway and Hone Avenue.
And on Buck Street, cellphone video shows a fallen wire sparking flames on the ground. Con Edison workers have since secured the area.
And at Sedgwick Avenue and Hall of Fame Terrace, another tree broke in half, leaving branches sprawled across a sidewalk.
A representative of the Parks Department says most of the damage should be cleaned up by Wednesday.
