407ds agoSeveral people were transported to the hospital after a car crashed into a toll booth at Orchard Beach, witnesses tell News 12.
News 12 crews were on scene Tuesday and saw the toll booth and a concrete block knocked over–the impact all done by a four-door, Nissan.
Witnesses tell News 12 there were six people in the vehicle and that they were practicing how to drive.
Signs throughout the lot show that driving practices in the parking lot are prohibited.
One person tells News 12 he’s seen people doing burnouts in the parking lot when police aren’t around.
News 12 reached out to the city’s Parks Department and the NYPD for details and hasn’t heard back yet.
