Witnesses: Shots fired outside Bronx elementary school

Police responded to reports of shots fired outside a Bronx elementary school Tuesday. Witnesses say they heard at least four shots fired on East 179th Street near Honeywell Avenue around 2 p.m.

Police responded to reports of shots fired outside a Bronx elementary school Tuesday.
Witnesses say they heard at least four shots fired on East 179th Street near Honeywell Avenue around 2 p.m.
News 12 is told that no one was shot, but the windshields of two vans parked nearby were hit and shattered.
Police say the nearby school, P.S. 67, was put on lockdown as a precaution.
Students were sent home shortly after authorities cleared the scene.
No arrests have been made.
