Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a shoplifting suspect who assaulted a woman at a Longwood beauty supply store last month.
Authorities say the 68-year-old victim witnessed a woman placing items into her pants pocket and jacket on Dec. 9 at the store on Southern Boulevard.
The victim confronted the suspect and asked her to put the items back.
The woman then punched her in the face and pulled her hair before fleeing on foot.
Police say the customer had her injuries treated at the scene.
