Anne Kearns has written poetry throughout her life and now the 90-year-old is a published author.

Kearns's children published her works in "Poems from the Heart" for her 90th birthday.

Kearns says she always scribbled verses, but that marriage, family, and work became a priority. When her husband passed, she says there was a void.

During the coronavirus pandemic, Kearns began to write more.

"One of my neighbors bought the book and said she reads it to her husband every morning and when she gets through the book, she reads it again," said Kearns.

Kearns talent also runs in her family. Her son is the author of two books, including one about television news.
