Woodlawn Cemetery trolley tour honors Irish heritage
Woodlawn Cemetery ran a trolley tour Sunday to honor Irish heritage for St. Patrick's Day.
A handful of notable figures who came from Ireland to New York City have been buried at Woodlawn. They include Academy Award-nominated actress Geraldine Fitzgerald, who starred in "Wuthering Heights," and songwriter Chauncey Olcott, who's famously known for writing "My Wild Irish Rose."
The packed trolley carried tourists through the 400-acre grounds filled with symbols, sayings and people connected to Ireland.
The tour is just one of many offered by the cemetery, along its their funeral services.
