While many government agencies are closed today in honor of Columbus Day, some cities are giving the holiday a whole new meaning.
Seattle and Minneapolis are officially changing the name of the holiday to "Indigenous People's Day" to honor the Native Americans Christopher Columbus found when he came to the Americas.
News 12 spoke with residents to see if they think New York should also change the name of the Columbus Day holiday.
