For the first time ever, Yankee Stadium will be open 24/7 to administer the coronavirus vaccines.
The stadium will now administer the Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines.
The state is receiving 165,000 doses of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. About 70,000 of those doses are allocated to the city.
The extended hours will now allow taxi drivers, grocery store workers and those who lack childcare to receive the vaccine.
SOMOS, the organization administering the shots, says there will also be security near the train station to make sure patients get to the stadium safely.
The Pfizer vaccine will be administered from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The Johnson and Johnson vaccine will be administered overnight from 8 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
