The Yankees and Krasdale Foods teamed up for their annual Thanksgiving voucher giveaway.

People were lining up well before the sun came up at Yankee Stadium Thursday. Hundreds were waiting in line for the golden ticket of the day - a $25 gift card to the supermarket so they can fill their cart for a Thanksgiving dinner.

People on line said the crowd started to form around 2 a.m. Before noon, about 4,000 vouchers were given away. The money helps even more this year as prices in the grocery store are on the rise ahead of the holiday.
