Dozens lined up at Yankee Stadium Wednesday and donated non-perishable foods to the Yankees’ annual food drive.
The Yankees teamed up with Krasdale Foods to collect the donated items. Participants get a voucher for two free tickets to a Yankees game in 2019 for every 30 pounds of food donated.
Attendees say they've been collecting non-used goods from family and friends.
The Bronx is New York's hungriest borough with 1 in 4 people experiencing food insecurity, according to Hunger Free America.
One attendee donated over 300 pounds of flour.
Krasdale Foods collected 90,000 pounds of food last year. The food collected will be distributed to families in the Bronx.
