A YouTube star from Brooklyn says he was removed from a Delta Air Lines flight Wednesday after passengers complained about him speaking Arabic.
The airline says it removed Adam Saleh and a friend from the flight from London's Heathrow Airport to John F. Kennedy International Airport after more than 20 passengers complained about feeling uncomfortable. Saleh claims they felt uncomfortable because he was speaking Arabic to his mother over the phone.
"It appears the customers who were removed sought to disrupt the cabin with provocative behavior, including shouting," Delta says in a statement. "This type of conduct is not welcome on any Delta flight."
The airline adds that the safety and comfort of its customers and employees is paramount, and that Saleh was looking to violate that priority.
Saleh is known for his hoax and prank videos, although at this point it does not appear to be the case.
Saleh was scheduled to arrive at JFK Wednesday evening. He tweeted that he would be going straight to his lawyer.
