Plenty of young musicians will be honing their craft at Zeta South Bronx Charter School, thanks to a grant that’s already being put to use.
New instruments for the brand-new orchestra will be given out at the school, including 32 new cellos, violins and violas. The grant comes from the Save The Music Foundation.
Last year marked the inaugural year for Zeta South Bronx’s orchestra, but the infusion of new instruments is giving the music program life.
The students will now begin preparations for their holiday concert season and a following one in the spring.
