Residents in Allerton say that they are concerned about a thief that has been stealing plants and flowers from their homes for over a year.

Last Friday, one resident caught the suspect on camera driving up to a home and digging up the plants from the garden. Later that night, the suspect went on to dig up plants from another neighbor's garden.

Neighbors in the community say that they work hard to purchase and maintain their homes, and the thief is ruining their community.

One neighbor told News 12 the Bronx that the police are aware of the thefts and are looking into it.
