In 2017, Enzo Emini and his partner, Vitto, launched the brand "Vitto Machiavelli" in Naples. The pair created custom suits, dresses and tracksuits. The customer would choose the fabrics and the partners would take measurements and create a custom suit.
Ten months ago, Emini brought his creations to the Bronx -- the borough he called home for nearly a decade and a half. Emini has opened a store on East 187th Street, where he takes measurements to send back to Italy.
Emini grew up in a family of tailors and says he and his partner wanted to bring back the art of traditional tailoring.
The suits they make are only as pricey as the fabrics the customer chooses, Emini says, and the business will also make alterations to garments purchased elsewhere. The customer has the custom suit within two or three weeks.
