Tenants of the Castle Hill Houses say an infestation of flies in their building has them fed up with NYCHA’s inability to keep the area clean.
They say a broken compactor and exposed garbage led to the bug problem.
According to the tenants, calls to get the compactor fixed have gone unanswered.
News 12 was on the second floor of 2120 Randall Ave. where hundreds of flies could be seen.
NYCHA told News 12 that they plan to start the repair process Saturday and claims that staff walks down each floor in the building twice a day to remove garbage left near closed trash chutes.
