Bronx children add finishing touches to new mural at Castle Hill Houses
Kids participating in a not-for-profit group's campaign to help beautify the Bronx added the finishing touches to a mural at the Castle Hill Houses Thursday.
The children worked on the project all summer long with the group Groundswell.
Groundswell provides art supplies for children in the community, and its organizers say the project is a part of a citywide initiative to make areas look more beautiful.
The mural features pictures of the 6 train and the Bx22 bus, many images becoming the young artists' inspiration, according to the group.
A dedication ceremony will be held on Aug. 31, when the mural is officially unveiled to the public.
