Bronx church packs donations for Antigua, Barbuda
A Bronx church is stepping in to help the relief efforts throughout the Caribbean in the wake of Hurricane Maria.
A few dozen people were hard at work Saturday filling up barrels with hundreds of donations at Bronxwood International Church.
Volunteers have collected everything from clothes, shoes, toiletries and non-perishable food items for the past few weeks.
They have partnered with a shipping company that has supplied them with 30 barrels for them to fill with supplies.
The items will be shipped to Antigua and Barbuda, islands that haven't received the same national attention as Puerto Rico or St. Thomas but are as much in need.
