Bronx Councilman Ritchie Torres confirmed Tuesday that he has tested positive for COVID-19.

The councilmember took to Twitter to tell constituents of his diagnosis as well as another senior staff member, who also tested positive.

He tweeted in part, “last night, I found out that I had tested positive for COVID-19. Over the weekend, I learned that a senior staff member had tested positive after experience symptoms for several days.”

Councilman Torres says all members of staff have been quarantined and are closely monitoring their health.
