Cloudy skies didn't keep some Bronx residents from enjoying the opening of the city's outdoor public pools Saturday.
The pools are open daily from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. throughout the summer.
Parks department officials say pool-goers should make sure to bring a sturdy lock to keep all their valuables safe.
Residents who spoke with News 12 say they enjoy going to the pool because it's closer than any beach.
