Bruckner Hobbies reopens after fire
Bruckner Hobbies reopened Monday after a fire caused the Throgs Neck shop to shut down almost a year ago.
The fire left $400,000 worth of merchandise covered in ash and soot.
Although the fire was contained in the rear of the shop, it shut down the business for more than nine months.
Since the fire, the store has transformed. There is now more room on the shelves and better lighting. Another change is an open space in front of the store that will be used for demonstrations.
