BX man accused in fatal hit-and-run denied car
Kwasi Oduro, who is accused of backing his SUV into a fast food restaurant killing 7-year-old Ethan Villacencio, left court Thursday without his car.
The judge decided to reschedule Oduro's request to get his vehicle back for Dec. 1.
Oduro's SUV was seen on surveillance video on June 4 backing into a fried chicken restaurant on Westchester Avenue and then speeding off.
Investigators says the impact of the crash killed Villacencio, who was in a booth with his younger sister and father.
The boy's family is outraged that the defendant wants his car back. They claim Oduro has shown no remorse since the fatal accident.
Oduro, who is out on a $10,000 bail, will be back in court on Dec. 1.
