Commuter alert: Additional construction starts today along Bronx River Parkway

Two lanes will remain open to traffic in both directions on the parkway. The lane shifts will remain in effect until this time next year.

Additional construction is slated to start today along the Bronx River Parkway between East Gun Hill Road and Wakefield Avenue.
The zone will be set up along the Southbound Bridge that runs over the Metro-North station.
Two lanes will remain open to traffic in both directions on the parkway. The lane shifts will remain in effect until this time next year.
The construction is part of a $65 million project to replace the bridge.
