Companies capitalize on growing Bronx tourism
A growing number of tourism companies are capitalizing on the growing popularity of the Bronx to bring visitors to the borough.
And many of the tourists say they enjoyed seeing the Bronx firsthand to dispel some of the preconceptions they had seen in movies.
Reals Tours NYC is among the tour providers actively promoting local tourism. Johanna Real is trying to separate her company from the rest of the pack by serving Spanish-speaking visitors from Latin America and Europe.
Visitors are taken to the iconic Yankee Stadium, the NYPD's 42nd Precinct, which was used to film scenes in the classic movie "Fort Apache," and a number of popular graffiti destinations.
