Councilman plans to clean up Dyre Avenue amid danger, trash concerns

The councilman says he has a plan that's across multiple agencies, including the Transportation and Sanitation departments, to get the area fixed up.

Councilman Andy King has a plan to clean up trash on Dyre Avenue, responding to garbage complaints from residents.
George Haynes says “it’s easier to walk down the road” due to the damage and danger of the sidewalk.
The councilman says he has a plan that's across multiple agencies, including the Transportation and Sanitation departments, to get the area fixed up.
Those two departments were out clearing the path, removing debris and cutting down foliage - something the Sanitation Department says it has done regularly
The Department of Transportation tells News 12 it will be sending a crew out at the end of the month to assess the broken sidewalk and look into adding fencing.
