Sea Bright was relatively calm under sunny skies Friday afternoon after Tropical Storm Elsa brough heavy rains and winds earlier in the morning.
Beach workers said the storm led to another day of low beach badge sales, which were also down on Memorial Day weekend and the Fourth of July weekend because of rainy weather.
They said the red flag warnings and high rip currents also kept people away from the shore.
Although high waves and possible rip currents are on Saturday's forecast, residents who may want to go to the beach were being advised to check weather ahead.
