Fire officials say the cause of the apartment fire at 145 East 18th St. is under investigation at this time.
Cellphone video captured the moment's flames were seen shooting out of a window on the fourth floor.
News 12 is told the fire broke out around 12:30 p.m.

Officials tell News 12 the victim transported to the hospital is recovering from minor injuries.
The American Red Cross is assisting anyone displaced by the fire.
