Loved ones said their final goodbyes to 11-year-old Monica Goods, who died last month after a car she was in overturned due to a pursuit with state police.
Goods was from Brownville and died just days before Christmas in a fatal accident with a state trooper.
Those close to the family say they believe police are at fault for the accident when the car that Goods was in overturned after a police chase.
"The police, state trooper, decided to use excessive force by rear-ending the vehicle twice, causing her demise,” said the Rev. Kevin McCall.
A representative with the state police says, “The incident remains under investigation by the New York State Police and the New York State Attorney General's Office, and it would be inappropriate to comment at this time."
The family is pushing for the state trooper to be fired.
"We don't want this to happen ever again to any other family,” said Sanford Rubenstein, the family’s attorney.
