A good Samaritan rescued a baby who was dangling from a fire escape Wednesday in Fordham.
Emergency crews say they were called to a building on East 188th Street and Webster Avenue around 4 p.m.
The man who saved the baby did not want to be identified, but told News 12 that a lady who was across the street told him that the baby was hanging from the fire escape on the second floor. He says he climbed up and brought the baby to safety.
Officials say the baby was brought to St. Barnabas Hospital for evaluation.
Investigators have not said how the child got out onto the fire escape.
