The Grand Concourse will soon receive a $30,000 grant from Assemblywoman Latoya Joyner as part of an effort to keep the roadway clean.

“We want to make sure that it's attractive for the residents here,” says Joyner. “And for the tourists who visit the area, especially during baseball season.”

The Grand Concourse is one of the borough’s busiest, most-traveled roadways.

The funds from the grant will help pay workers' salaries, who maintain the area from 161st Street to 166th Street, leading up to the Bronx Museum.

Officials add that clean streets communicate to residents and visitors that the neighborhood cares about its environment along the Grand Concourse.
