A Bronx community group is pushing to expand the borough's limited access to the Hudson River by 2 miles.
Riverdale Station Park's 600-foot walkway is currently the only access northwestern Bronx residents have to the Hudson River waterway.
The Kingsbridge Riverdale Van Cortlandt Development Corporation is seeking an expansion of that space that would stretch a mile into Yonkers.
The group released a promotional video in the hopes of garnering broader support from other Bronx communities.
The project proposes a riverside walking and biking trail modeled after the ones found in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens.
Backers say they expect to face some challenges, but should eventually be able to secure land and funding for the project.
They've launched a petition for supporters.
