Hundreds of people filled a nightclub in Parkchester Sunday to donate supplies to Puerto Rican victims of Hurricane Maria.

For hours, cars drove up to the Evo Lounge loaded with supplies, including water, batteries, diapers and clothing for kids and adults.

The effort began with a call to raise money on Facebook.  Thousands of dollars have been raised so far.

Event organizers say they are trying to pay particular attention to the elderly in Puerto Rico.  They say many of the elderly citizens are helpless and have lost their homes.
