Infrastructure improvements underway in Mount Eden
A rehabilitation project in Mount Eden is underway to improve the neighborhood’s streets and bridges.
The Ten Bridges Component Rehabilitation project is expected to take place in multiple stages.
Improvements will begin with a section of the Grand Concourse to widen the concrete medians between the concourse main road and service roads.
During this time, 20 parking spots will be lost for construction. However, the MTA entrance will not be changing, according to the city Department of Transportation. Bike lanes and sidewalk access will also remain open.
The project will continue to East 174th Street, from westbound to eastbound, to replace deteriorating concrete in the underside of the pedestrian bridge.
The project is expected to wrap up in December.
