Kanye West is celebrating his new album with pop-up listening events across the country this week -- in places like Chicago, Miami and Brooklyn.
Street teams sold merchandise and treated patrons to bon fires at the Miami and Chicago events Wednesday night but West, physically unable to be in more than one place at once, was reportedly not present in either city.
He's billing the events as "Project Wyoming," after his record release party in that state, near Jackson Hole.
His latest album 'ye' came out last week and garnered mixed reviews from both critics and fans.
Select fans who submitted online RSVPs in advance got a chance to hear it in Brooklyn Thursday night.
The last year was a turbulent one for West, who was rushed to the hospital after experiencing a mental breakdown at his California home, sources say.
The embattled rapper also made appearances at Trump Tower months later to meet with the president.
West recently caught attention on Twitter after posting a picture of himself wearing a "Make America Great Again" baseball cap that President Donald Trump had signed.
