Livery cab robbed at gunpoint in Port Morris
The NYPD is asking for help to find a man who they say held up a livery cab driver at gunpoint in Port Morris.
According to police, the suspect was picked up at around 6 a.m. Monday at 165th Street and Jerome Avenue in Morris Heights. They say he took a ride to East 139th Street and Cypress Avenue where he pulled out a handgun and demanded cash.
The suspect was caught on surveillance and is described as a Hispanic man between 25 and 30 years old. Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
