Hundreds of Bronx residents crowded the Stevenson campus Wednesday to attend a town hall with Mayor Bill de Blasio.
The event marked the second installment of the  "City Hall in your Borough” tour and gave people the opportunity to go toe-to-toe with the New York City mayor.
During the town hall, community members raised concerns about two hate crimes recently directed towards the Bengali community in their borough. They also spoke to the mayor about the high rate of asthma in the Bronx, commuting problems on the Cross Bronx Expressway and the need for more affordable housing for seniors.
Mayor de Blasio touted that crime in the Bronx is down five percent this year compared to last year at this time. He also explained that the Bronx now has the highest high school graduation rate in its history.
