After a year of complaints, residents in Morrisania are fed up with auto body shops taking up the parking spots in their neighborhood.
Resident Arthur Nichols says the auto shops that line Third Avenue near 166th Street park their overflow of cars on the street for extended periods of time. He says it often results in no parking spaces residents.
Back in April, Nichols told News 12 that the situation was alleviated for "about a week" but it is now "10 times worse."
News 12 reached out to both the NYPD and the Department of Sanitation, which said they worked together to remove a total of 41 vehicles from the area on Aug. 14-15 and that the area is monitored on a daily basis.
