Mountain Creek Waterpark in Vernon Township will be open for business Saturday despite a charred water slide on the park’s "High Anxiety" attraction.
According to the park, the ride won't be available for the foreseeable future, but the rest of the park will be open tomorrow at 11 a.m.
A spokesperson for the water park says that the fire started Tuesday afternoon.
Video posted on social media shows plumes of smoke rising from the woods surrounding the park.
Fire crews from Vernon Township and other nearby towns came by to put out the fire.
No injuries were reported. There is no word on a cause of the fire.
Mountain Creek is the site of the old Action Park, which had a reputation for poorly designed rides and consequently poor safety record.
