The New York Institute for Special Education held its annual science fair on Wednesday.
About 60 projects from all three of the school's programs filled the gymnasium at the event.
This year's theme was solar energy because the school is the first in the state to install solar panels on the roof.
The panels are under Gov. Andrew Cuomo's new plan for schools to be more self sufficient and eco-friendly.
