NYCHA residents and the borough president are criticizing the housing authority over unspent grant money they say was supposed to buy computers last year.
"We're not asking NYCHA for a dime," says Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. "Where is the money that we allocated?"
Tenants of the Bronx River Houses say they've been without computers for more than 18 months -- even though the money came in for tech improvements last summer.
The computers they previously used were donated to make room for the new ones. With the new school year around the corner, students and parents say they feel especially neglected.
"Get off your butts, and get us those computers right now," Diaz says.
